Excited for 2018-2019!

This new school year again looks to bring some positive changes. I can share that the changes we have made over the last few years by adding three additional teachers, more classrooms and purchasing new instructional programs and materials have increased Shiloh students’ state testing proficiency rates in both English/Language Arts and Mathematics by approximately 10% in 2018!
Moving forward, we are again splitting one of our combination classrooms, the 7th/8th grades room.  A new classroom building will be installed and is due to be completed by the end of September. I would like to welcome Ms. Melissa Dickman to our staff as our new 8th grade teacher to add to our amazing teachers who are all returning for 2018-2019! Ms. Amanda Crutchfield has also been hired as an instructional aide to support students. New mathematics instructional materials have been purchased and we will incorporate new computer programs MobyMax and Dreambox to support students in English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.  New laptop carts have been purchased for our 6 th , 7 th and 8 th graders, new desktops will replace older models in the library and 1 st grade classroom and network upgrades have been completed.  I can't wait to see everyone back ready to work hard, learn new things and enjoy some great experiences together!
