Science for Every Student

Exploring, Thinking, and Growing Together

Teacher Biography

My name is Ms. Habeeb. I am a big fan of all things STEAM and am committed to providing more opportunities for students to Learn By Doing. As Shiloh Elementary’s dedicated science teacher, I look forward to continuing my journey in the science lab, delving even deeper into hands-on, curiosity-driven learning.

Let’s explore, innovate, and grow as we delve into the fascinating realms of science using technology, engineering, and math!

  • I grew up in Modesto, showing pigs and goats in 4-H and FFA, playing travel softball, and dreaming of becoming a teacher.

  • I graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2019 with a major in Liberal Studies and a concentration in Science.

  • I love to read—my favorite genres are science fiction and mystery!

  • I taught 3rd grade at Shiloh Elementary for four years before moving into my current role as the TK-8 Science Teacher.

Class Information

At Shiloh Elementary, all TK–8 students participate in weekly science instruction aligned with California’s NGSS and supported by the Discovery Science curriculum. Our hands-on, inquiry-based program encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving at every grade level.

In the science lab, students explore concepts from natural phenomena to complex systems while learning to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. We strive to Think, Speak, and Act like Scientists—asking questions, testing ideas, and embracing challenges with curiosity and confidence.

I’m excited to continue growing this program and supporting every student on their journey as a scientific thinker.
